Welcome to Eastbourne Conservative Constituency Association Website
We are Conservatives because Good Government Matters
Under Labour Britain’s financial situation is dreadful. Our budget deficit as a percentage of GDP is running at 14%, even higher than near bankrupt Greece. Our borrowings? About £180 billion a year. All to be paid back! Pensions are decimated. Savings yields are tiny and real wages are under pressure from economic migrants.
Thanks Gordon!
Whatever happened to “Prudence” you used to boast about? She was replaced by “Susie” the spendthrift. From 2002-8 [before the credit crunch] Government spending increased by nearly 50%, but income by 41%.This hole in our country’s money-bucket can’t be filled by printing “funny money’ to buy our own debt back. Labour’s over spend, waste and re-payment burden affects every persons’ pocket. Britain needs a new Government.
As NIGEL WATERSON Eastbourne’s trusted Member of Parliament says:
“Away with Labour spin and short-termism; replace it with clear thinking and sound policies: not “sound bites.”
A Conservative administration will face many problems. Curbing immigration that has been encouraged over 10 years by New-Labour’s ”social engineering” policy.; more like old Socialism. The Pensions Crisis. Raising Educational standards. Cutting the Quangos and Bureaucracy that diverts money from Healthcare and Fighting Crime. And there’s plenty more to put right.
Yes. We Conservatives will steer Britain on a better course but we do need a working majority. A “hung” Parliament threatened by the Liberal Democrats would be a disaster. It would lead to weak Government, loss of our financial standing and high interest rates that will damage our future recovery.
Will you help Eastbourne and the country make the change?
